The End of Season Special will this year be a 28 mile non-stop from Hythe to Hythe, double headed by No 2 and No 3. As last year, this will be part of the Railway’s End of Season Parade, so there will be plenty of other activity around the railway. Departure from Hythe will be at 2.40, arriving back about 4.30. At 5.00 there will be an entertainment, ending in time to catch the last train back to New Romney.
RHDRA members will have reserved coaches at the front of the train – due to short bookings we have opened the rear of the train to others paying the supplement.
During the day, we plan to commemorate Sir William McAlpine with special cast plates donated by the RHDRA members to be fixed to ‘The Bug’ and unveiled to all.
Please note this is a fare supplement; members must still buy tickets from the railway for the event at the discount rate – these are not available in advance.
