RHDRSA Roles and opportunities

OPPORTUNITIES TO TAKE PART IN RUNNING THE RH&DRSA

The RH&DR Supporters Association is run entirely by volunteers. The Trustees like to offer opportunities for members to get involved with the workings of the Association and to join a great team.

We are often looking for some help in key areas of the Association. Most aspects of the roles can be performed remotely provided you have a PC, laptop or tablet, Wi-Fi and a ‘phone and printer. You will have contact with several areas of the Association, our Members, and Railway staff, so must be able to get on with a wide range of people.

Depending on how involved you would like to be, your available time, and your particular interests, there may be the opportunity to combine some roles.

The Association Trustees have recently been reviewing and revising our practices. As charities are increasingly held to strict Charity Commission standards, Trustees are keen to ensure that we uphold the ethos of best practice for our organisation.

All the Trustees are volunteers, as are any roles that become available.

We would welcome assistance in the following areas:

Fundraising – vital to our ability to support the railway and run our projects.

Finance – essential to controlling our financial operations and investments.

Education and Heritage – core to our mission to preserve and educate.

Marketing and Communications – promoting the Association.

IT technical support, website, social media content – keeping it all running.

And…. any other areas in which you think you may be able to help.
